DIBV Real Estate, in collaboration with Alphaplan, is mapping the entire building inventory and outdoor areas of Diergaarde Blijdorp..
This is achieved through a comprehensive inspection of the entire zoo, conducted in accordance with the NEN 2767 standard. This Dutch norm provides a consistent and objective method for assessing the technical condition of real estate and infrastructure. The inspections encompass all relevant disciplines, including architectural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering components.
All findings are carefully documented and integrated into the maintenance management system Ultimo. Based on this data, a Multi-Year Maintenance Plan (MJOP) is developed, with an infinite planning horizon. This enables both short- and long-term maintenance strategies and ensures a proactive approach to asset management.
A key feature of this MJOP is its sustainable focus. Beyond cost control and budgeting, the plan provides valuable insights into the environmental and strategic aspects of real estate management. Sustainability elements such as lifecycle optimization, circularity, and energy efficiency are embedded in the planning process. These insights play a vital role in shaping the strategic accommodation policy of Diergaarde Blijdorp, supporting the zoo in its mission to align its operations with long-term ecological and organizational goals.
